On The Heels of A Successful Protest Action ,Govt/ASUU Blind Pride Game Might Still Linger On

In the past three(3) months I've been waking up everyday wondering if the Kogi State Government(and everyone attached to it) are just been intentionally stubborn and stone headed or they are naturally dimwitted, and right in the midst of my lonely wonders came this report from the    Daily Trust ; on the heels of the protest on thursday morning Special Adviser to the governor on Media and
Strategy, Mallam Abdulkarim Abdulmalik told reporters this :

"The ASUU grouse was premised on falsehood. They were owed five months arrears, four months has been cleared which represents 80 percent of the obligation owe to them. Only 40 percent of the bailout was released to government so where did they (ASUU) expect the government to go and take the balance from?

"Primary school teachers are there, secondary school teachers are there. They have not gotten as much as ASUU has gotten. Therefore, the students' action is ill motivated because the students should rather be fighting their lecturers for refusing to return to classes afer collecting four months salary arrears. Between ASUU and the government."

Now,am not quite sure if he understands the essence of that protest action. We simply don't care about what's up with the bail out fund,or how many teachers have been paid in the state. We have made it known that we are downright tired of staying athome for months when we are supposed to be in school learning. We don't care about what's going on in the state,we just don't care, just like ASUU don't care about what's going on in the state,we too don't care, afterall the education is not free,we paid fees to acquire it . These ASUU members are the same set of people who weren't paid salaries for "5 whole months" and left to live on little to nothing as they do their jobs and teach students, for five months. Now they're demanding their pay and its not proper, really, how logical is that. Call them selfish,self-centered and self- absorbed, but their irghts remain their rights.  And now we've suffered for all that for 3 months.

He furthered his comment by adding this :

"The truth of the matter is that there are unseen hands behind this unrest and government is appealing to these students to remain rational. However, government will not joke with the interest of the students and members of the public because the government feels the pinch of the difficulty the parents of the students are going through"

Unseen hands....really...no comments

Just some minutes ago, in a terse reaction on social media, the acting chairman of ASUU, Dr. Daniel Aina had this to say :

“the reverberation of concocted trajectories and tantrums at our persons belong to the dustbin. We speak to issues and love the people. Truth is like a cork- always afloat. To keep it submerged, energy MUST be expended. No matter for how long, when the expenditure of energy ceases, it will come afloat. Play your record to the world. ASUU KSU did not say it signed any MoU with government.

“The govt team felt embarrassed by the action of the students. According to them, the students insisted on seeing ASUU and government talking, school to reopen on Monday and government to pay outstanding salaries owed.

“To the first count we said we are always available for dialogue. There is no time we have refused invitation.

“To the second we told them we aren’t the school management. The onus of reopening the University lies on the management.

“To the third, we told them that if the outstanding salaries are paid, within two days we would reinstate our services.

“They started politicking – we will pay one month within ten days and pay the rest later. We said they should pay one immediately and let us sign an MoU for the outstanding. They then revealed to us that the ten days cannot be guaranteed and that they cannot sign an MoU with us. We informed the government team that they have summoned us because of the problem they are facing.

“We volunteered to help out to pacify the students. The summary of our speech to the students was that they have made an historical mark, which should suffice for govt to take a cue and do the needful but that nothing substantial have come out. We tried to attribute it to the absence of his Excellency, so they should be patient. ASUU KSU is currently on no pay no work action. Let the government do the needful and we’ll resume work. FALSIFICATION AND PROPAGANDA WILL NOT WORK!!”.

Well,from where I stand it looks likely that this pride/ego game by the Kogi State Government and ASUU may linger on a bit longer,even after the commendable heroics shown by NANS,NAKOSS,KSU SUG and every KSU students that took part in the protest action on Thursday, except off course their are strategies put in place to further make our voices heard,which the SUG PRO indicated on his facebook timeline 16 hours ago ;

"Yesterday message was so strong, history made and glory to the students. We gave no audience to any government representatives that came, all we needed is for Bello and ASUU chairman to reopen Kogi State University with immediate effect; though ASUU chairman came and addressed us after his meeting with the government representatives. ASUU chairman statement is on record and we holding them responsible to the chairman's statement. He said that the government has asserted to their MOU and that his Excellency is not in the state to sign. However he pleaded with us to give them ten days from now to hold a congress. Students are advised to stay in their various houses as the students union government is high in spirit, hence we not waiting for any ten days but we giving ASUU from today to monday to put their houses together and should in case nothing is done at the end of Monday we shall strategize and take a more dreaded step on Wednesday 20th July 2016."

"ASUU Did Not, And Has Never Claimed That it Signed Any Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with Kogi state government." - KSU ASUU Chairman

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Kogi State University, Anyigba chapter, has kicked against mis- representation of facts on the current ‘no pay, no work’ embarked upon by the institution’s lecturers.

In a terse reaction on social media, the acting chairman of the union, Dr. Daniel Aina, chided the government negotiating team for resorting to propaganda and falsification.

Setting the records straight, Aina stated that ASUU did not, and has never claimed that it signed any memorandum of understanding, MoU, with Kogi state government.

In his words, “the reverberation of concocted trajectories and tantrums at our persons belong to the dustbin.

We speak to issues and love the people. Truth is like a cork- always afloat. To keep it submerged, energy MUST be expended. No matter for how long, when the expenditure of energy ceases, it will come afloat. Play your record to the world. ASUU KSU did not say it signed any MoU with government.

10 Types of Guys Almost Every Woman Dates Before Finding The One -(Ksu boy and gal palava)

Before they find The One, most women have experiences with a whole parade of Not The Ones. Although some of these guys are fun, you just know in your heart that they aren’t Mr. Right. But no woman’s dating life is complete without at least a few of these boyfriends to reminisce or laugh about when you’re old and gray.

1. The Hot Guy

This guy is super attractive. Women’s heads turn when youwalk into a party with him. It’s a great ego boost until you overhear people wondering why he’s with you. And you never thought of yourself as unattractive before! That’s relativity for you. Also, he focuses on going to the gym a little too much. Oh well, next.

2. The Cool Guy

This guy has heard of bands, beers, and even countries that you haven’t. He knows everything that’s on-trend, and you know by what he’s wearing right now what shoes guys will be wearing next year. To be honest, it’s a little exhausting to date him. You have to buy a whole new wardrobe and reevaluate your taste in music. So, you move on.

3. The Ambitious Guy

Your mom loves this one. He has an internship at an investment bank, then he becomes an analyst. Or else he’s in academics and on track to get his PhD before age 27. Either way, you barely ever see him. Sorry, Mom.

4. The Brilliant Guy

This guy reads three books a day and still has time to analyze the latest indie film. He excels at work and at leisure, but his leisure is basically reading books and being the smartest commenter on reddit. You leave when you start fantasizing about The Hot Guy again.

5. The Guy Who Always Liked You

This is the guy who had a crush on you since 5th grade. You’ve always stayed friends and one day you gave in and made out with him. Now he is obsessed with you, but you’re still lukewarm on him. We know if this was a romantic comedy, you’d fall head over heels for him, but it’s not. So, you let him down gently and skedaddle.

6. The Partier

You met this guy at a party and ran into him at two other parties that month. When you started dating, you realized that this wasn’t fate at all; it’s just because he goes to every single party within a 20 mile radius. He’s also always wasted. You leave when you start stalking The Brilliant Guy on reddit.

7. The Perfect on Paper Guy

Your mom is excited about this one too. You find him online, or you’re set up by a mutual friend. He went to a great school, has a great job, is good looking and athletic. You don’t feel a spark on the first date, but you feel silly just ending things since he seems so great to everyone else. After a few weeks, you have to admit to yourself that you’re just not that into him. You try to let your mom down gently.

8. The Guy in a Band

This guy seems really awesome, especially when he writes a song about you. He seems less awesome when you realize that he’s 26 and considers his primary job to be playing guitar in his friend’s garage. Also, some other chick said that song was about her. He’s secretly happy when you end things, because it gives him inspiration for a breakup ballad.

9. The Older Guy

It’s refreshing to be with someone who knows what restaurants are good. . . in Italy. He’s also a great kisser and very smart. You always feel like he’s on a different page, though, and he uses full sentences when texting. It starts to feel a little like texting with your dad, so you have to say arrivederci.

10. The One

Not a minute too soon, The One arrives on the scene. Smart, handsome, warm, honest, and kind, you know right away that you’re in love, but you don’t tell him until a few months in. Whereupon he says he knew you were The One for him right away too. Ah, love.

Ten Types of Girls Every Guy Dates Before Meeting The One -(Ksu boy and gal palava)

Guys, it is a tough dating world out there. There are loads of girls you have to go through before finding Ms. Right. Good thing you don’t particularly mind dating lots of different women. It will give you something to reflect back on when you’re old and not as devilishly handsome as you are right now. Let’s cover the different types of women you may meet on your road to eventual coupledom.

1. Daddy’s Girl

This girl may be 25, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t love to spend quality time with Daddy. In fact, not only does he financially subsidize her, but he’s also the first person she calls when her car breaks down, her boss yells at her, or she has an extra ticket to a concert. Hey wait a second; isn’t that supposed to be your role? Then there’s the time you find Daddy polishing his machete collection and staring at you. When you break up with the Daddy’s girl, she doesn’t seem to notice; she’s off to Tahoe to ski with Dad that weekend.

2. The Party Girl

This girl always knows where the party is. Not only that, but she has friends wherever you go, and they all have funny stories about that time she got wasted and made out with other people’s boyfriends. Then, what do you know, you find her in a closet doing the same thing when she was supposed to be in a relationship with you. You try to dump her but she’s too busy making out with that random guy to listen.

Into a Potential Friendship

3. The Straight A Student

This girl is super smart and it would be great to talk to her…if she ever had time to talk. Not only is she a straight A student but she’s involved in every activity on campus, whether she’s an undergrad or a grad student. She takes on extra work like it’s going out of style, and she’s more emotionally committed to her study group partners than to you. When you break up with her, she turns it into an excellent piece of nonfiction for her writing seminar and gets, of course, an A.

4. Miss Jealousy

“What did you really mean when you said ‘Nice shirt’ to your coworker at that party? What was nice about the shirt? Are you secretly in love with her? This reminds me of what you said last weekend to my sister, remember? ‘I like your car’. You meant you wanted to ride off with her somewhere private and put down the back seat, didn’t you? DIDN’T YOU?” You dump her by telling her you have a terminal illness because you’re scared of the repercussions.

5. Gossip Girl

This girl talks your ear off about her friend, her friend’s friend, her friend’s boyfriend’s friend, and that guy’s cousin. All of her stories seem to be about someone in a bad situation that your girlfriend can pretend to empathize with while she secretly acts better than them. You break up with her after you start fantasizing about Miss Jealousy, who was at least focused on you.

6. Your Mom’s Hopeful Daughter-in-law

This girl and your mom get along like gangbusters. Your mom drops hints about how it’s time to settle down, and your girlfriend talks about how awesome a listener your mom is. But, to be honest, your mom has more chemistry with this girl than you do. You start hanging out in the library hoping to run into The Straight A Student and let your mom break the news to your girlfriend gently.

6. The Anxiety Case

This girl is nervous and worried about everything. When you go on a snowboarding trip, she worries about you breaking your leg. When you eat quickly, she worries about you choking. When she is too nervous about flying to take a vacation with you, you find her a good therapist and say “hasta la vista”.

7. The Drama Queen

This girl is exciting, and it’s never boring to be around her. But soon you realize that it’s exhausting to ride her emotional roller coaster every day. After a few breakup/makeup cycles, you find yourself yearning for the anxiety case. At least she was consistent. When you break up with her, the scene is heart- wrenching. But it is strange how she starts dating that guy from her building the very next day.

8. The Trendsetter

You are not sure if what she is wearing is a shirt or a dress, or what exactly is up with her make-up, but you know whatever it is, it’s right on trend. This girl knows what’s in style months before everyone else. It’s great to think you landed someone so stylish and cutting edge, until she starts to throw out some of your favorite clothes in an attempt to make you edgier. You like your high school T-shirt collection, so you have to say goodbye.

9. The Beauty Queen

This girl is so hot that you can’t believe you snagged her. Your friends are envious and guys’ heads turn when she walks into the room. It’s pretty cool, until you realize you don’t really have much to talk about, since you have nothing in common. You try to make it work anyway, until you realize that she isn’t being ironic with her taste in music. While you’re in the middle of breaking up with her, a guy drives up in a BMW and asks her on a date.

10. The One

This girl is smart, beautiful, sweet, and is so great that you mom forgets about the other girl she liked so much. She laughs at your jokes, and you laugh at hers. Your taste in music, movies, and books is weirdly similar, and her friends get along with your friends. You wonder what you did to deserve someone so wonderful. Oh right, it was dating all those other girls.

Sex and Relationship : 6 ways to know you're not in love with your partner

Most people confuse love at first sight and infatuation with real love and this has become
one of the major reasons why relationships
crumble faster than they were even created.
L.O.V.E means different things to different people but when you love someone, you can feel it for real. Here are six signs you are not really in love:

Read also : Sex and Relationship : 10 Signs You Are Dating A Great Guy Who You Should Never Let Go

1.) You keep convincing yourself you like your
partner:

You can care for someone deeply and personally but it doesn't mean you are in love with this person. In most cases, the person in this situation will always have to convince his/herself that h/she is really in love by using different means … with the hope that feeling could be true.

2.) Formerly cute habits become annoying to you

This is a clear sign you were infatuated with your partner. His/her characters haven’t changed, it’s just you that changed because you no longer love them anymore.

3.) You're embarrassed by your partner in public

You now hate to appear with your partner in public because you are constantly embarrassed by anything they do or say whenever you two step out. If you truly love someone, you'd be more amused than ashamed of them.

4.) You think only about yourself

It's practically difficult for a selfish and narcissist people to love somebody else. Even though they might feel something, it'll be hard for them to love completely because of their nature. A self-absorbed person finds it hard to fall in love. They just pretend to.

5.) You're only scared to be alone

People constantly live in denial, claiming they are in love when truthfully, they are not! They are just scared to end up being alone. Instead, they will do everything it takes to have someone beside them including lying and pretending to be in love with them

6. Do you think of your partner often?

You’ll always think of your partner every day, if you’re really in love with them. As the relationship grows older, it gets better because you’ll still think about them doesn’t matter how far apart you both are.

Sex and relationship : You Know The Relationship Should End When These 10 Things Happen

Sometimes you just get a feeling that your relationship isn’t working out. You may still care a lot about your significant other, so this can be a tough decision. If most of these things apply to your relationship, you should probably consider whether it’s time to end it.

1. You don’t look forward to telling your partner
funny stories about your day.

It’s one thing to avoid talking your partner’s ear off about every little thing that happened to you at work or school, but it’s another thing when you feel no compulsion to share anything funny, interesting, or exciting with them at all. Even worse if you find yourself sharing these things with someone else instead, like that funny new coworker.

2. You have different values about important things, like money, education, marriage, or religion.

This stuff doesn’t get better over time, it gets worse. Do you want to find yourself unhappy years from now, wishing that you had just listened when your partner said he never wanted kids or would never want to get married? Incompatibility about issues of deep importance is a major red flag.

3. You would rather spend time with your friends than your partner.

It’s great to have a solid network of friends to rely on and hang out with. But it’s not great when the time you spend with your partner pales in comparison to the fun that you have with your friends. When hanging out with your friends strikes you as that a lot more fun than spending time with your partner, you have to ask yourself why.

Read also : Sex and Relationships : 8 Signs That Your Current Relationship Has No Future

4. You don’t hug or kiss much. And to be honest,
sex has gotten a lot less fun.

Physical affection isn’t everything, but it is one important aspect of a relationship. It often acts as a barometer of how the relationship is going. And if you’re feeling physically and sexually distant, it’s likely you feel distant in other areas of the relationship as well.

5. Your family never really liked your partner,
and still doesn’t.

If you have a close and respectful relationship with your family, you have to wonder why they persist in thinking that your partner isn’t worthy of you. It might just be that they see something that you don’t have the distance and objectivity to see on your own.

6. You never grew to like their friends, and vice
versa.

If after all these months or years you still can’t find any kindred spirits in your partner’s friend group, it is a pretty bad sign. After all, your partner likes these people and must be similar to them in some ways, so if you can’t stand any of them, what does it mean about how you feel about your partner? Also, what does it mean that he doesn’t like your friends? You know they are awesome and they’re a lot like you. Maybe it means he’s just not that compatible with or into you either.

7. You are bored when your partner talks.

We’re not talking about one topic, like his job in finance or her scrapbook hobby. The great majority of the time you feel your eyes glaze over, because you honestly aren’t that interested in the conversation. Ever.

8. You don’t really care how you look anymore.

Again, the physical aspect of the relationship isn’t everything, but if you no longer care at all about your partner thinking you look attractive, this isn’t the best sign that you’re still invested in the relationship.

Read also : Sex and Relatoinship : 6 Ways To Know You Are In A Relationship With A Liar/Cheater

9. You fantasize about dating other people. A lot.

Thinking other people are cute is natural. Having extensive thoughts about what it would be like to date other specific people is not. In fact, it’s a sign that maybe you ought to be dating some of those people instead.

10. You can’t picture being with them this time
next year, or you can and it makes you feel stuck
and unhappy.

If you’re not happily looking forward to the future with your significant other, there is not much point in remaining in the present with them. Things won’t magically improve with time.

If many of these ten things resonate with you, it may be time to throw in the towel. Good luck, and be true to yourself.
