Five Reasons why Living Alone as a KSU Undergraduate is Perfect

Below are five Reasons why living alone as an ksu
undergraduate is perfect. We have distilled down an essential 5 points:

You have plenty of personal space and time
for self-discovery
You can and will learn so
much about yourself
during time spent on your
own. It may be a difficult
adjustment at first,
especially if you are
accustomed to living co-
dependently, but the skills
you will learn will be more
than worth it.
You will learn how to
handle personal and
emotional situations with
only yourself to work
through it, seeing as you
won’t have anyone else’s opinions infiltrating your
thoughts.
You have unlimited privacy
You don’t have to worry
about anyone overhearing
your personal phone
conversations because
there isn’t anyone else living in the apartment! It
doesn’t matter if your bedroom door is open or shut,
as there is no way your conversation can be
overheard! (Unless you have creepy neighbors who
listen through the walls.)
When you get home at night, you find the
place the way you left it
You don’t have to worry about anything being
displaced since you were the last one to have your
hands on said items. Bra on the door handle? Check.
Jacket thrown over the couch? Check.
You can decorate in any way you please
When you’re sharing a common space with another
person, you usually have to consult with him or her
about how to decorate.
A great perk of living on your own is that you can hang
whatever you want on the walls and arrange the
furniture in any way you please, without a roommate’s
tacky taste and opinion getting in your way. You want
to hang up that piece of “artwork” you made in drunk
painting class? More power to you!
You can clean at your leisure
You aren’t affecting anyone else by having your mess
spread across your apartment. If you’re too busy or
too tired to clean up on any given day, there’s no guilt
in putting it off until your ready.
There’s no pressure on you, or anyone breathing
down your neck, to clean up your dishes from last
night’s meal
