I know that you can read this post right now,as a matter of fact you are reading this post right now,so you are not blind. You,a student of Kogi State University, you are not blind. You can see what's going on in the state where your university is located. You are not blind, meaning you can read,as a matter of fact you have been reading kogireports, you have been following maquinnews, you are a regular on ksuforum. You are following, you are updated, you are seeing everything as it unfolds, but that's all you are doing, just following. Who can blame you though, what else can you do,you are just a student of the institution who wants to earn a certificate, graduate and be someone successful, why should you worry too much about what is going on in kogi state, why ??
A lot of people are writing a lot of things, about this, about that, its a good thing, the bad thing however is the major, point men targets those articles were written for on various platforms don't even have the time to read the first line, they don't care about a student telling them what to do and what not to do. They are politicians, let's leave it at that.
So you're basically left with one viable option, just keep quiet and keep following right ??
But,but where does the word "ACTION" come in ?
The cliche saying is that "action speaks louder than words". So are you supposes to talk less and do something ??
The governor of the state looks like he means well from where I stand, but with all the shenanigans surrounding the government it seems that this ASUU strike has been a little below number one, priority wise, you can't blame him. What you can do is to make sure he understands that your future depends on all this, but how are you going to do that ??
You have a student union government, they look like they mean well, with all the keke napeps and stuffs, and they are trying to make sure that the government understand your plight without moving at a speed capable of killing a spleen, you can't blame them, they have their reasons, right ??
A little peek into the bible, shall we :
Mathew 11:12
"And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force."
You,most definitely is capable enough to take what you want by force, violently or otherwise, especially when what you are trying to take is what your parents paid for with sweat day after day, year after year.
Can you act ?? Off course you can act,but as a student if you act without been told to by the SUG,then you're on your own.
But,isn't the SUG the body that connects you as student to them(the upper guys), they are your voice, but they clearly don't know what exactly you want them to voice out. So what you have to do is make them know exactly what you want, how you feel, what you want them to say. You have to start taking steps. Like I said, action speaks louder and clearer than words.
Its strike day 46,your patience has ran thin, you should start taking steps, you will start taking steps, you MUST start taking steps.
We will help you take those steps, those actions,we will take them and see what the results are. Those actions,we will start doing, right now. We will let you know what the plan is,enough is enough.
