WHATS UP

What’s up people. Its our first what’s write up for some weeks now and we promise you guys more consistency. So, without much famzing, lets dive into the world of KSU (or PAAU, whichever suits you better) and review some issues that’s has gone down over the course of the month along with some talking points.
News :
This is to inform all prospective UTME candidates who applied for admission into Kogi State University, Anyigba for the 2016/2017 Academic Session that Admission screening will take place between Monday, 26th September, 2016 to Wednesday, 12th October, 2016. The admission screening will be purely interactive. Registration Closes on the Wednesday, 14th September, 2016 at midnight.

The School Fees Payment for KSU Undergraduate, Pre-degree and Diploma School Fees and Admission Letter is up. Students (Bothe Fresher and Returning) can walk into any Zenithbank Branch Nationwide, pay and collect your PIN instantly before resumption. The account numbers will be made available to you at each branch.

Knowing fully well that’s its screening season for our incoming jambitos, our talking point is going to revolve around this.

Am sure all aspirants are aware of the registration steps by now (if not, click here). As a matter of fact some itchy ones already got their hands around the screening form thingy, but majority of them (and us, staylites, for curious reasons) are wondering what this screening will be like. It’s the first time a screening would be done in an interactive format, which raises some few questions;

#1. What kind of questions will be asked ?

Its quite funny trying to imagine what sort of questions will be asked. Will they ask what kind of food you eat or what kind of music you listen to (just kidding). Those are less likely questions. Obviously, the school management will create questions to be asked, which will vary from one faculty to another (am assuming). Some am assuming that the questions will be centered around what the individual knows about his faculty or study (you know, science questions for science aspirants, art questions for art student and so on). In this case its important for all aspirants taking part in this screening exercise to get themselves loaded with this knowledge just in case.

#2. Are less – eloquent speakers going to be considered or flagged off ?

The screening exercise is quite simply a “post – utme” extension, but this time it doesn’t require computer operating abilities unlike the last set, it’s requires an ability of of expressing oneself in a perfectly understandable manner, using the English language very well. The question however is will people who have difficulties expressing themselves due to the tension or not been able to use the English language properly still be considered or totally flagged off (with lecturers bemused of how this aspirants even passed through secondary school). The latter seems likely.

#3. Will tribe play its role as usual in the KSU world ?

In most things done in KSU, tribe always seem to play a major role as it helps some people and doesn’t help others (even on ATM queues). So, will tribe play a major role in dishing out admission or admission is going to be handed out by merit ? we wait and see.

#Pointers :

-          Proper dressing is important. Less flashy the better. Also guys, watch your hair cut if you don’t want to stay at home for another year.
-          Learn a lot about subjects relating to your course of study.
-          Make sure you are able to express yourself properly.
-          Also compose yourself properly. The exercise is just some few minutes.
-          Adhere to instructions.
-          Know thy God

I hope this has been helpful in some capacity, do your best and leave the rest to God

Am out !!!!
